I can't help but feel that the opportunity to capture a powerful image of a person in their environment is a privilege. Even more special is when the person is moved by the image I captured of them or it becomes their personal favorite. I consider that a real honor. On a Mission trip to Guatemala, I was honored to use the camera and my art to give something back. Most of the people there hadn't seen a digital camera before. They were initially shy, but once they saw their image on the camera back, that shyness quickly disappeared. In recent days I am rediscovering the immense satisfaction of making great outdoor/environmental photos of people. I have done portraiture for Corporate, Commercial, Editorial, Web, personal commission and Senior Portraits.
